Ian Joseph Martin
3.2.1985 – 6.1.2022
Ian was a Merchant Marine, Maritime Engineer working on the Oregon Responder after graduating from an intense two-year Maritime program in Astoria, Oregon. He assisted with the extensive oil clean up in the Gulf of Mexico following the Deep-Water Horizon tragedy in 2010 and several other Ocean oil spills.
Ian was very much into Marvel comics. Building models and loved spending time with family!
Survived by his mother Sue Martin of Cottonwood, AZ; father and mother Timothy and Debbie Martin of Rimrock, AZ; Brother Matthew Martin, sister Nikki (Travis) Schlup of Cottonwood, AZ brothers Michael Collins of Cottonwood, AZ and Jason Collins of Mayer, AZ also many nieces and nephews: Jacy, Bailey, Riley, Timothy, Zachary, Ashley, Randi, Hunter, Hayley, Jesse, Austin, Seth, Braylon, Zaedin, Kyson, Alexia, Jeremy and Keera.
A very special thank you to the ICU and palliative care staff at Verde Valley Medical Center. Your amazing fight, determination, care and treatment of our dear loved one! Thank you for all that you did! All you Do!
Memorial services will be held: June 11, 2022 , 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 360 5th Street, Camp Verde.
