Obituary of Alexia La'Chey Haney
Alexia La’Chey Haney,19 years, passed away on August 12,2022 on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation. Clarkdale, Arizona.
Alex, is survived by her mother Angela Honwytewa, of Dickinson, ND; her father Daniel Haney of Phoenix, AZ and her 4 sisters; Brent V. Honwytewa, Sarah J. Williams, Novale M. Honwytewa and Bella R. Haney, her 3 brothers; Hayden L. Yellowhair, Carmelo L. Burny, D’Angelo W Burny and an unborn sibling.
She is preceded in death by her late grandfather Brent Honwytewa and late great grandfather Gram Jackson.
Alex was born on September 30, 2002 in Dallas, TX to the parents of Angela Honwytewa and Daniel Haney. She attended Head start at the Yavapai College, then she moved forward to Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary school from K-8th grade. She was promoted to Mingus High School where she was a Senior.
Alex, was active and deeply involved in Native American Club and the Yavapai-Apache Youth Council Program. She enjoyed Arts and Crafts, being around family and helping her family the best way she could for the majority of her life. Her family and friends will always remember her as a intelligent, beautiful, and her huge lovable soul along with her precious SMILE.
A funeral was held on August 25th, 2022 at the Bethany Baptist Church with a reception that was followed at the Yavapai-Apache Clarkdale Reservation. Community Bldg.
