Obituary of Nicholette Hartman
Nicholette Maeghan Hartman, 28, born 4-13-89 died 5-17-17 after suffering a stroke caused by a heart condition.
Nicki's heart had been weakened by a long time struggle with the disease of addiction and the strain from childbirth caused irreparable damage.
Nicki fought a courageous fight and had long periods of sobriety but was never able to fully recover.
Nicki is survived by her 6 month old son Jude Orion Jordan, her mother Kat (Kathryn) Charlesworth and her brother Dana (Alex) Hartman, 2 half Brothers Darrel Allen Hartman, and Kevin Hartman, her grandparents Jan and Theresa Charlesworth and her uncle Matthew Charlesworth and cousin Brayan Charlesworth. She is predeceased by her father Michael Allen Hartman.
Nicki was an artist, a musician who played multiple instruments and an amazing music historian. She was loved by many and will be missed by too many people to count. She was a free spirit, she fiercely defended the underdog and she spoke her mind without reservation.
Her greatest love, joy and proudest accomplishment was her son, and his name was the last word she spoke. After the creation of Jude her masterpiece, created with the help of his father Jeremy Jordan, her work here was done.
Her favorite book was "The Little Prince", a special story she shared with her mom and read to Jude. One of her favorite quotes from the book:
"And he fell gently, like a tree falls, and there wasn't even a sound.
One cannot love without saying goodbye, at least for a little while."
