Dear Dick, One of these days, I will see you again in Heaven. You received that assurance when you prayed with me when I came to see you a few days before you went to Heaven. Now though, I want to tell you that I will miss you very, very much until I see you again. I loved it when the phone rang and it was you on the other end. I have been thinking of passed memories. The early morning drives up to the mountains. The time we ate breakfast in one of the mountain areas and we had our first Hash Brown potatoes. The time you snuck into my bedroom and put on a 45 RPM record you had purchased for me, and turned it up full blast. I sat up from a sound sleep and started yelling at you and then I realized you had bought me a record that I had been wanting (sorry for yelling at you little brother.) When Grandma Knott died, Mom & Marla went to Iowa and Daddy worked nights. Somehow we got locked out. He didn't get home until really late. You and I sat and visited on the porch (by now we were both young teenagers) for a long time and then we both got so tired that we just leaned on each other and fell asleep until he came home to unlock the door. Ohhh and the time before Christmas that we found a place that had so many Christmas decorations for sale. We decorated the INSIDE of the house with all kinds of things that hung from the ceiling (Mom was still in Iowa). Daddy came in in the dark and started bumping into all of the things. He was NOT happy. I remember that he said, "we are NOT having a party." Im not sure WHY we did that but...it was fun but, not as much fun as when we rearranged all of the furniture before he got home. We had moved the couch and....he again wasn't happy when he nearly fell on the floor when he started to sit down. Ohhh, those were fun times Dick. Thank you for being a great brother and for picking out such a wonderful wife. Marie is, and will continue to be, an important part of our lives. Thank you for the memories. I will treasure them ALWAYS!
