Obituary of Melvin LeRoy Reeves
Melvin Reeves, 72 years old of Cottonwood Arizona passed away on April 16 2013.He was born on Nov. 16 th 1940 in Cottonwood to Edward and Sybil Reeves (Wright.) He was a veteran of the United States Army. Melvin worked for the United States postal service In Klamath Falls Oregon where he retired. He then moved back to Cottonwood where he built his home and resided for 16 years with his wife Bonnie and little dog sparky.
Mel was a trap shooter and participated in trap shoots across the West coast. He enjoyed boating on Lake Powell. He restored old classic cars, his latest venture being a 1940 Ford deluxe. Most of all he was an American hunter and sportsman.
Mel is survived by his wife Bonnie of 33 years, two sons Aaron Reeves of Keno Oregon and Brett Reeves of Eugene Oregon. He also had three step children Shane Blofsky of Brookings Oregon, Teresa McEvoy of Reno Nevada and Jayson Blofsky of Visalia California. Mel had 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mel is survived by his sister Mavis Dick, brothers Steve Reeves and Michael Reeves. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ed and Sybil Reeves and older brother Ray Reeves.
Mel was loved by all that knew him. Gifts can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
