Obituary of Douglas Von Brady
Douglas Von Brady, 57, of Camp Verde, passed away suddenly Friday, October 31, 2014 in Cottonwood, AZ. Doug was born on January 19, 1957 to Von and Carol Brady.
Born and raised in Arizona, Doug spent most of his life in the Verde Valley, working at Phelps and Sons building and manufacturing trusses. Doug was not only a hard worker but generous and willing to help others whenever needed. He worked as a handyman around Camp Verde and could repair just about anything on a house.
He had a love of the outdoors, especially fishing, photographing nature, and writing poetry. He absolutely adored his grandchildren, and most of all, he loved his family and friends. His memory will live on in them, and he will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Von and Carol Brady. He is survived by his girlfriend, MaryAnn and her son Jeremy; brother Brian and his wife Trish, brother Terry and his wife Isabel, sister Belinda and her husband Steve; sons Robert, William (Cory) and his wife Audra, Kenneth and his wife Bethany, daughter Jami and her husband Billy; grandchildren Matthew, Austin, Angel, Kimberly, Tyne, Hunter, Adrian, and Mallory; 3 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6th, at 11:00am at the Church of the Nazarene, 644 S 7th St, Camp Verde, AZ 86322, Phone 928-567-6568. Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Doug Brady to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Research and Action Education Foundation.
