Obituary of Harold Leslie Huey
After a two and a half month valiant fight to survive a tragic automobile accident, Harold Leslie Huey, Jr. 71 of Rimrock joined his precious granddaughter, Rocky and other family and friends that have gone before him...
The horrible accident occurred on Monday, July 21st along Beaver Creek Road in Rimrock.
With his dedicated and loving family by his side, he spent 2 weeks in the ICU in Flagstaff Medical Center, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. He mad marked improvements in the month he spent in Phoenix and then was transported to a rehabilitation facility in Prescott Valley. Plans were being made for his return home when complications and infections from his injuries took his life.
Harold was born in Buffalo New York on February 22, 1943 and lived in Pennsylvania until 1978 when he and his family moved to Arizona. He was a US Navy Veteran and an electrician by trade. He was on his way to work at Home Depot the morning of his accident.
He was a music lover and known to many for his love of playing the guitar, and the many bands he played in, in Pennsylvania as well as Arizona
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; his four children, Vicki Borchardt and Clint of Tulia, Texas. Michael Huey of Rimrock, Sherry Cline and Thomas of Rimrock, Jon Huey and Desiree of Rimrock; 10 Grandchildren, Leanna, Autumn, Ethan, Abbigail, Shannon, Greg, Jordan, Jenna, Amiyah and Buggsy and 1 "Granddog" Justin, as well as 3 Great Grandchildren; his sister, Betsy Huey of Rimrock and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
His Determination and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Per his final wishes, no funeral services will be held.
