Obituary of Emma Conti Felici
Emma Conti Felici, formerly of Northvale, NJ; Wilmington, NC; Sedona and Tucson, AZ released her spirit to be with her Lord in Heaven and her beloved husband Willie, on July 2, 2015 in Sedona, Arizona. Emma was born on March 17, 1919 in Crystal Falls, MI to Louise DeMuri Conti and John Conti and lived in Italy from the ages of 3 until 13. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Carlo, Mary and Reno. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Peggie Felici-Gessner (George) and Dory Felici-Maxey (Dana) as well as her cherished grandchildren, George William Gessner and Catey Louise Maxey, who will miss their Mom and Nonni forever, and the wonderful times they shared with her.
The last surviving of her generation, she was "the touch stone to our family past". Emma was devoted to her family, and was always there to share their joys and obstacles with encouragement, strength, faith and love. She will continue to do this from above, we are certain. Emma was an incredible seamstress in her earlier years, after retirement she became a master basket weaver and artist. Emma is joining a host of friends and family that will welcome her to eternal peace and rest.
God be with you Mom, we love you always and forever...until we see you again.
Our family is especially grateful to the incredible care and love of Hannah, Tim and Dawn in Tucson, the wonderful staff at Sedona Winds Assisted Living and Hospice Compassus, who helped our Mom in the final stages of her life. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 11AM at St John Vianney in Sedona, AZ.
