Obituary of Jeanette Van Nuffelen
Jeanette Louise Van Nuffelen, died June 11, 2014. She was born June 18, 1923 in Hunter, New York to Benjamin Franklin Ostrander and Bertha Cornu-Ostrander.
Her mother died when she was only 5 years old. Her uncle went to New York from California and brought her back to California where she lived in a girl's home, The Canfield House, with her sister, until she was 18 years old.
In 1951 Jeanette married Richard Ray Van Nuffelen. They had 2 children, Richard Ray Van Nuffelen Jr. and Teri Jeanine Van Nuffelen. Jeanette worked as a nurse for 28 years at Torrance Memorial Hospital in Torrance, California.
In 2012 Jeanette sold her house and moved to Camp Verde due to declining health. She lived with her daughter until her passing.
She is preceded in death by her brother Raymond Ostrander of Washington, her sister Madeline Lucille Wright of California and husband Richard. Jeanette leaves behind her two children Teri Moore (Scott), her son Richard Ray Van Nuffelen, 4 grandchildren, Nancy Arden (Jeremy), John Arden, Steven Wagner (Chelsea), Jeffrey Wagner (Jasmine) and 2 great great grandchildren Jace Wagner and Jolene Hough.
