Obituary of Phillip Hill

Phillip Hill, 71, Veteran of the U.S Air Force, passed away February 25th. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he transferred to Luke Air Force Base to proudly serve his country. While honorably discharged, he never “really” left the Air Force as he obtained his private pilot license and made many weekend trips in the Cessna he loved with family and friends. His passion led him to re-storing 1958 Chevy Impalas, creating train layouts to re-live his youth watching trains from his back yard to collecting aircraft cockpit seats from war plane grave yards to sit in and reminisce about life. Most of all though, he loved people and talking to others. Throughout his life, he would arrange to meet with friends and/or relatives to have breakfast and talk about life. With an avid love for airplanes, trains, automobiles, and friendships, he will be missed by many as he now rests in peace. Loving Father of Kevin, Jeff (Patricia), Grandfather (Ashley, Ethan and Joshua), Stepfather of Vicki (Randy), Step Grand-father to Shari (Andy), Steven (Michelle), Stepfather of Andy (Jan), Step-grandfather to Karl, David, and Stepfather to Jon (Faith), Step-grandfather to Shaun, Josh and Austin. As he requested a private ceremony, any friends or relatives may leave their condolences here or in the guest book at www.cvbugle.com/obituaries
