Obituary of Dorothea H. Crawford
Dorothea H. Crawford, 101, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her daughter’s home in Cottonwood, Arizona on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was born in Fort Wayne on September 16, 1917, and raised on a farm near Arcola, Indiana with her father and mother Mary and Herman Gerding along with one brother, Clarence and one sister, Gertrude.
Dorothea is survived by her daughters Judith A. Fultz of New Haven, Indiana and Phyllis J. Anglin of Cottonwood, Arizona, 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Dorothea was a life-long, active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a resident of Lutheran Life Villages for 8+ years where she had been the Resident Director when it first opened in Fort Wayne. Dorothea was an avid quilter.
Arrangements for Dorothea’s memorial service are pending.
Preferred memorials are to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Maggie’s Hospice, Prescott, Arizona.
