Obituary of Frances Kathryn Wakefield
Frances Kathryn Wakefield passed away from heart failure at the Haven of Camp Verde Assisted Living Care facility on November 20th, 2018 at the age of 77. She is predeceased by her Husband, Charles Wakefield. She is lovingly remembered by her Son, Lindon R. Watson Jr. of Phoenix, Az.
Frances was born in Colorado in 1941. As a teen she moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her Grandmother. She graduated from A.S.U. having earned her academic diploma and nursing certificate. While still attending A.S.U. in the mid-sixties until graduation she had played the french horn with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, eventually occupying the First Chair lead position. She then chose to put aside her music to take up nursing after graduation. Later on in her career she earned her B.S.N. from N.A.U. in Flagstaff. She worked as a nurse/caregiver all of her able years after college. After a career ending spinal injury in Prescott she finally settled in Rimrock towards the end of her life.
Frances enjoyed jazz and classical music, caring for her many pets, and listening to Coast To Coast A.M. on the radio.
Frances is survived by her four adult children, Ann Watson, Sue Watson, Lindon Watson Jr., and Bruce Klever.
