Obituary of Gerald L. Mundell
Gerald L. "Jerry" Mundell, 81, of Camp Verde, Arizona passed away March 18, 2015 in Camp Verde. He was born on July 3, 1933 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to James Myron and Katie Mae Mundell. Jerry was a Range Conservationist and worked for the United States Forest Service for 34 years. He attended the Baptist church and was a former member of the society for range management as well as various community school boards. Jerry served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He loved his family and friends very much. He enjoyed landscape conservation, admired good quarter horses and especially loved dancing with his sweet wife, Joanne.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Joanne Mundell; children, Deborah (Mark) Monroe, Kenneth (Sarah) Mundell, and Samantha (Josh) Shults; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James Myron and Katie Mae Mundell and his brother, Jack R. Mundell. Jerry will be greatly missed, he loved and he was loved.
A memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday, April 11th at Campo De Ensueno in Camp Verde.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Camp Verde Unified School District is Jerry's name.
