Obituary of Clinton L Gray, Sr.

Clinton Leslie Gray Sr., 74, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019.  He was born in Cottonwood, Arizona on September 28, 1944 to the late William Lester and Margarette Louise Gray (Killebrew). He lived in the Verde Valley all his life and was a third generation native of Arizona.  Clinton loved gardening, his many chickens, cutting fire wood, hunting, fishing, and most any outdoor activity. He worked as a carpenter, heavy equipment operator, and construction foreman during his life.  Clinton is survived by four children: Clinton Gray Jr., Shawn Gray, Troy Turley, and Stacey O’Grady (Turley); eight grandchildren: Sariah, Clinton, Benjamin, Hyrum, Alonzo, Blythe, Kelton, and Quintin; and one great grandson, Beau.  He is also survived by two brothers, Lester and John.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Connie Sue Gray (McDonald), who he cared for, for over 20 years during her battle with MS.  Also preceding him in death were his parents and a cherished son-in-law, Derek O’Grady.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 11^th at 10:00 am at Parkside Community Church, 401 Camp Lincoln Rd, Camp Verde; with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Fellowship and remembrance will start around 1pm at Parkside Church. BBQ pork provided, if able please bring a side, salad or dessert.
