Obituary of Richard W. Myers
Richard W. Myers, "Dick", 78, of Camp Verde , AZ passed away on January 18, 2015. Born November 11, 1936 in Waynesburg , PA to Lenora Porter Myers and Charles Myers, he was a caring and attentive husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was a hard worker, possessed noteworthy mechanical proficiency and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved opera music, playing musical instruments, singing, camping, hunting, gunsmithing and being a private pilot. Dick's passion was flying and he loved flying the aircraft he built. He served in the Air Force and was a retired insurance agent. He was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Stacy Myers, his parents, his sister Ellen Myers and brothers Charles Myers and Harold Myers. Survivors include his wife and "sweetheart" of 40 years, Karen Masters Myers, brother Jim Myers, his children, Brent (Lois) Myers, Gregg Myers, Juli Gerimonte and Todd (Leslie) Myers, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother in law Steve (Katie) Masters, sister in law Schella (Richard) Padilla as well as many nieces and nephews. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a man of great faith, integrity, humility and discipline who set a wonderful example to family, friends and his community.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 360 S. 5th Street , Camp Verde AZ. Graveside service with military honors will follow at Middle Verde Cemetery .
The family would like to thank Teresa and Paul of Alicia's Secret assisted living home for the exceptional care they gave him during his brief stay there. Arrangements were provided by Bueler Funeral Home.
