My sincere condolences for you loss. Ms. Hazekamp was a dear, dear friend for over 30 years. Her letters and calls were filled with heart-felt wisdom and well-read knowledge on many topics. She led me to treasures hidden in books that I would have never found. Her blend of determination, courage, and kindness was remarkable. She depended upon and spoke dearly about her niece, Linda Haley. Thank you, Linda, for keeping me abreast of her well-being when she no longer could. I will miss Phyllis dearly. T. We knew Phyllis because of her involvement with the House of Ruth as a board member and faithful supporter. My husband Barry and I loved her sense of humor, and cheerful attitude. She blessed everyone with her beautiful spirit and intelligence. Phyllis brought joy to all who knew her. Thank you so much for your kind words. Her humor stayed with her until the end. There will be a memorial for Phyllis on February 9 at 2:00 at Gracious Granny's in Cottonwood.

I knew Phyllis in Rimrock, AZ at the Baptist Church. She started giving me a hug from behind me the very first day and we always said in or correspondence about a hug for each other. She knew I liked horses and gave me a statue of one that resides atop my medicine cabinet in my bathroom and reminds me of her. Please accept my condolences to the family. Phyllis, our "Aunt Phyll" was an important member of our family for the last 90 years (amazing and true).
