Obituary of Janis Rae Egan

JANIS RAE EGAN, 63, of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on DECEMBER 19, 2016. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 4, 1953 to Clarence and Doris Smith. Janis grew up in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley area, and moved to the Verde Valley area in the 70's. Janis held many positions during her lifetime, and was a well known fixture at Judi's Restaurant is Sedona, having worked there for many, many years. Janis was a very kind and loving person, giving generously of herself to her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Amanda, her granddaughters Destinyrose and Natalee, her sisters Teresa (Gary) Johnson, and Martha (James) Dort, her brothers David (Carole) Stanton, Phil Smith, and Tom (Cheryl) Smith, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Robert Egan and Steve Wirtanen, and her brother Richard (Colleen) Smith. No services are planned.
