Obituary of Daniel C O'Connor
Daniel C. O’Connor (81) was the youngest of 12 children, born to Archie B. O’Connor and Margaret M. (O’Sullivan) O’Connor – the finest parents. In August of 1962, Dan did the smartest thing he’d ever done and married the prettiest girl in North Dakota, Patricia F. (Harvey) O’Connor, R.N. of Walhalla, ND. Dan is survived by his wife, Pat of Sedona, AZ; son, Dan of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter Kate (Ken Moran) of Flagstaff, AZ; daughter Jennifer of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Ryan, Shane, and Meaghan Moran; Ben and Bryn Mattes; and Owen and Ella O’Connor; sister Patricia (Patrick Fisher) of Bismarck, ND; and 47 nieces and nephews along with their spouses and children.
Dan grew up in St. Thomas, ND, attended Valley City State University, taught school before entering the world of Plastic Engineering. Dan would go on to found his own companies. He belonged to the Algonquin Lions Club of Illinois, the Knights of Columbus of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, and St. Vincent De Paul.
Aside from golf, reading, and hiking, Dan’s favorite activities were telling jokes and bragging about his family.
