Bonny Spiteri

Obituary of Bonny Kay Spiteri

Bonny was born March 29, 1955 to Robert and Betty Johnston at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. She has three sisters, Barbara (Don), Beverly (Robert), Brenda, and two brothers, Bobby (Jennie), and Bill (Claudia). She was a military brat that moved all over the country. She kept that adventurous spirit alive as she continued to move around the country with her own family, husband Charles, daughter Heather (Joseph) and son Joshua. After a successful career in Occupancy Compliance, her and Charles made Cottonwood, Arizona their home for more than 17 years. Bonny loved to travel. She would enjoy reading a great book on a warm beach. Lighthouses were a favorite destination. She threw wonderful parties that included the best food. She could often be found in the kitchen magically making any recipe her own. She was also gifted in making beautiful gifts for family and friends. Even while ill, she could sit for hours to make blankets or shoes or some other incredibly creative craft to give away. She loved to sing and gave the love of music to her children and grandchildren. She delighted in bragging about her grandchildren, Nicholas (Shawntel), Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Jewelia (Jordan), Alexander, Jessica and great-grand daughter, Hayley. They had very special relationships with her. She was often referred to as "my best friend" or someone you could tell anything too. Her quick, cunning comebacks and great sense of humor will be missed. She passed away May 8, 2020 at Haven of Camp Verde. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 2pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cottonwood Stake Center, 1377 E. Hombre Dr., Cottonwood, AZ.
