Obituary of Anna Deneil Gardner

Anna Deneil Gardner, 53, of Cottonwood, AZ passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2020 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on December 7, 1966 in Holbrook, AZ to the late Loran and Vera Peterson. Deneil grew up in Snowflake, AZ until she was married and moved to Mesa, AZ for a short time until they ended back up in Holbrook for most of her marriage. She eventually moved to Cottonwood in 2007 and has been living here since. Deneil was a teacher’s aide and touched many of her students lives throughout her career. She was a proud mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything. Deneil was a great baker and sold candles, which she absolutely loved. She was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; she was a great example to those who surrounded her, and she served in her church callings diligently. Deneil is survived by her brothers; Kipp (Shug) Peterson and Kevin (Traci) Peterson, sisters; Lorri (Scott) Davis, Tanya (Kent) Frei and Donetta Peterson, her children; Nikki (Jason) Lunt, Jami Gardner and Shayla (Jacob) Mesecar as well as her grandchildren; Kyson, Jakoby, Kash, Kinzley and Bentely. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1377 E. Hombre Dr., Cottonwood, AZ 86326 on Friday, September 18th. The viewing will start at 9AM followed by funeral services at 10AM. The burial will be at R.V. Mike Ramsay Memorial Cemetery, 390 S. 4th St. West, Snowflake, AZ 85937 on September 19th at 11AM.
