Obituary of Scot Alan Rutherford

Scot Rutherford of Rimrock, Arizona passed away January 26, 2021. He was born October 27, 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona and is survived by siblings Lynn Alexander of Venice FL, Jack Rutherford of San Clemente CA, Taffy Schroer (Dan) of Columbus IN, Pam Martiny (Dave) of Phoenix AZ, 11 nieces and nephews, their spouses and 10 great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Gerald and Patricia Rutherford and Margery LaBrec; a sister, Debra Ford; a brother-in-law, Dr. Larry Alexander and a great nephew, Nathan Alexander. Scot graduated from high school in Columbus, Indiana and was a long time resident of the Olive Branch Inc., a place he proudly called home. Cyndi, Steve, Jim, Tina, Lindsey, Lisa, Pastor Scott and the many others that touched Scot’s life will forever be a part of our extended family. Scot was active in Special Olympics and participated at the state level. He had a strong faith and a caring heart volunteering in many capacities including in his church, Montezuma Chapel. There will be a private family service. Internment will be in the National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ. Memorials can be made to Olive Branch in Rimrock AZ, Montezuma Chapel in Rimrock, AZ or to Arizona Special Olympics.
