Wow...I have a Christmas card on my kitchen table from Pat. I hadn't known he was ill. Pat was a special friend and support to my dear Uncle Phil, when he moved in across the hall from Pat at the apartments in Camp Verde in 2008. Pat checked in on Uncle Phil at least once a day, often treated him to some of his cooking, called me if there were concerns and generally became a dear friend to both of us. Pat was a pallbearer at my Uncle's funeral Mass in 2011. Later, we would meet for lunch now and then-- usually at La Fonda, and usually with Wayne also. He also would call me after he visited the cemetery-- to either tell me that the flowers for Uncle Phil looked awfully nice, or, that they looked awful. I knew I needed to replace them. Pat was always happy and ALWAYS bragging about his family-- every one of you!!!! My deepest sympathies to all of Pat's family-- may God grant you precious memories to lighten the grief, and many consolations as you go forward...
Sincerely,
Sharon Wenger
