A year ago, our family lost someone very special. Eric was a husband, father and friend and as many of you know, a large part of the community. Eric served much of the Verde Valley with his business and took pride in his work. This last year has been the most difficult year for our family as we learn to navigate our days without Eric. It has also been rich in love and support from people close to us. We are so grateful for those who have done anything and everything they can to help. With this post, I not only want to acknowledge Eric’s absence that has shifted our worlds but to thank you all for showing us grace and kindness. He will always be a great void in our lives and those he served over the past decade and more.

We are still trying to get over the loss of your husband. He was such a caring and professional. We knew him for 15 yrs and was our go to plummer. He was going to do a job for us and we talked about the years he knew us. We are in a state of shock and our prayers go out to your family. RIP Eric, you are missed by many.

Cousin Eric, I love you!! I waited to post because I just wanted the right words to say. It is difficult to understand your passing but you were a wonderful cousin during the time we spent together growing up. I will always look back fondly to the memories at Grandpa and Grandma Foreman's house. The trips to Mount Scott, The Holy City and of course when you visited our family in your travels. I'll always look at a soccer ball and think of the time you chased down the vehicle in Lawton, Oklahoma to get it back for us when Becca kicked it underneath a passing vehicle. You also liked spicy food and I got to try the new habanero chips that came out when you visited Jonesboro, Arkansas. You nicknamed Matthew, my son, motor mouth and you are still to this day correct on that. I can't imagine the heartache but I do believe cousin that God showed his mercy and love to you in passing. Scripture says to Rejoice in the Lord Always. So Cousin, I rejoice in the Lord because we will all be together again with our heavenly father and be able to see our family members that have passed before us. Till that day Eric, I LOVE YOU COUSIN!!

Eric was the most polite, soft spoken and kindest human being we've ever known. His smile was wide when he spoke proudly of his children.

It is truly sad to hear of Eric's passing. I was in utter shock when I received the phone call from his brother Mark. I can say that I've never met a more hard working, devoted human being than Eric. He worked 6, sometimes 7 days a week for as long as I've known him. Eric always put his family first. I've known him for over 30 years. We were best friends.
So many great memories I will have for life, of Eric and I snowmobiling, hanging out, or talking on the phone for hours, and hours. Julie would joke and call our all night phone conversations a "Bromance". We would talk about the snowmobiling trips over and over. Even after he moved to hot AZ where there was no more snowmobiling. He never got tired of talking about the same memories, nor did I. I guess when you have such great times in life with great people, those memories never dull. They're permanently etched in our minds, and hearts.
You will be missed! RIP, my friend.

My heart is in pain for my little sister Julie! She is a wonderful, sweet, strong woman who raised three amazing, beautiful, kind children with Eric. I pray God will give them the strength they need at this difficult time in their lives. Eric's great qualities will always live on in his family.

Julie is my best friend. I’ve known her for over 20 years and visited her family in Arizona nearly every year after they moved. I knew Eric but not closely. I knew Eric as a person who stayed in the distance a little, quietly taking things in and then he’d laugh or smile when he heard someone say something funny. He paid attention but he didn’t fully join our craziness. He was always walking around tinkering. Checking to make sure things worked right, were turned on or off, or running properly. He was the driver when we all went to the Grand Canyon, he made the fire when we wanted to roast marshmallows, he fired up the hot tub when we wanted to sit in it at night and talk, he grilled when us meat eaters came for dinner. He always tried to be sure that Julie took me new places each time I came out to visit. He’d say, Jules, did you take her to Jerome? Did you get to see Uptown? He was kind and friendly, he wanted to make sure I was having fun but in his own subtle way. Rest in peace, Eric. My visits will never be the same.

I remember cousin Eric visiting when I was younger and being so nice. Eric thought I was the strangest kid because I didn’t like Mac and Cheese. “What kind of kid doesn’t like Mac and Cheese” he said. I am grateful to have met him and be related to him as he left an impact on many lives through his kindness and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by many members of his family near and far. May he Rest In Peace.

Life comes at you fast, well it did until the day I got the phone call. My world completely stood still while I had to process what I was hearing. My cousin one of the coolest guys around. My first memories of being back in the United States was of our visit when I was 9. You had a water bed, Nike ate a jalapeño pepper off the counter, and you played with me. Then about a year after that you got to come stay with us for a few weeks. I was beyond excited, and even more memories were made. You rescued my soccer ball from underneath a car, accidentally exploded a Capri sun in my face, and got to drive us some of the way to Oklahoma. Every time we got together adventures happened and you always took time to make sure I was having fun. Even on your wedding day you showed me how to shoot fireworks from the garage. Then that one Thanksgiving you rescued the gravy when the lid got stuck on the gravy bowl. I have so many great memories I could share of what you meant to me. I love and miss you and will see you again. For now I know Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Frank, and Aunt Mary are with you.
