Obituary of Joanna True Maddox

Joanna T. (Berry) Maddox, Born December 26, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away quietly on April 2, 2021, with family at her side. Mom was a Solid Rock to eight Children (and their spouses), Richard Lee (Paula), Redondo Beach, CA; Susan Marie Carver (Dean), Glendora, CA; James Doty (Kathleen), Indian Wells, CA; John Robert (Jonnie), Rimrock, AZ; David Keith (Debby), Crestline, CA; Michael Adrian (Vini), Pittsboro, NC; Thomas Ronald (Cherie), La Quinta, CA; and Timothy Jay (Maureen), Fitchburg, WI. Nana will be missed by her 20 Grand Children, 19 Great-Grand Children, and 1 Great-Great Grand Child with 2 on the way. To say she loved each one, is an understatement. Joanna was a One-of-a-Kind woman, a Wonderfully Strong Mother, and a Doting Grandmother, with a Heart of Gold. Nana had a Smile that touched the heart and was most certainly a Sassy, Classy Lady through and through. Mom/Nana will be missed by all who knew her. A private memorial will be held at a yet to be determined date and location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s local ASPCA.
