Jarrod was a dear friend from our childhood. We reconnected about ten years ago and spoke often and long. I was trying to contact him for the last several months and happened upon his obituary. I am devastated. He loved his children so much. The world seems lonelier now. I could always count on him for good advice, a dirty joke, and a listening ear. He was my partner in Dan Fogelberg, and I will miss him always

I’m glad the obit photo was taken at the Dells, makes sense. Climbing was a passion evidently. From semi-weekly trips to the dells, to Auga Fria, to the Promised Lands where he motivated me into my first and only lead Trad. He was a true leader, who earned respect from all, and could sing a country song like no other. His original songs are copyrighted and were frequently played on the radio during one of his many stages in life. He drove Toyota’s and had THE biggest hands I’ve even had the privilege to shake. Jarrod you were a kind of man that now exists only in legend. It was an honor to know someone of your caliber. You are missed beyond belief.

Wyatt Jarrod Webb is my son and if he had lived twenty-five more days, he would have been clean and sober for thirty four years. His 9/28/87 sober date was and is one of the hallmarks of his rich life on this planet. I am proud of who he was for 55 years and who he is and will be in his journey into what's next. Thank you to the recovering community of Prescott for loving him and inviting him to be a part of your healing presence. I am so grateful that because of these 34 yrs, Chaya and Avery, who he valued above everything in his life, were given the true gift of Jarrod Webb, an authentic father, man and friend.........I will hold you in my heart forever. YOUR DAD

Truly devastating to learn about Jarrod's passing.
He was an incredible man who lived a full life.
Many memories of sitting around the campfire picking tunes on guitars and singing sweet melodies. Sometimes there's a song that's made for a specific person to sing and Jarrod had a few.
Jarrod's laugh and sense of humor were my favorite parts about him. I'll miss spotting his truck on the road.
My condolences to his family and extended network of friends. Such a loss for so many, but I take comfort in knowing his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and were loved by him.

The following was posted on behalf of Judy and Jerry Cooper:
It is hard to imagine Jarrod Webb as a young man about Avery’s age but we can. Jarrod came into our lives through taking classes Jerry taught at the high school in Tennessee. Even at 16, Jarrod was something special. Tall, slender, blonde and talented he was every high school girl’s dream. Jerry saw something in Jarrod so unique and worthy if not also
something mischievous..
As Jarrod continued to blaze his life’s trail, our family was bound to him not physically but by something greater, love. Little did we realize this life long friendship would become an “adoption” if you will into the fabric of our lives. After Jarrod moved to Arizona, we saw him perhaps 6 times but there were always phone calls, laughter at some dirty jokes, connections of a past remembered and cherished.
We visited with Jarrod twice in Arizona. Once as a couple vacation and secondly as we went to see our son, Clint graduate from a Marine Corps boot camp. Jarrod was so welcoming, took us on horseback rides and procured wonderful lodging at a resort. Always joking and caring for us.
In 2007 Jarrod assembled an outstanding and eclectic group of individuals to float the Colorado River. To this day, that trip remains a hallmark in Jerry’s memory. Although many of you experienced other adventures with Jarrod, the Cooper family remembers it as one of the greatest trips of Jerry’s life. Jerry would always introduce Jarrod (even to complete strangers) as one of the most talented individuals he ever knew. He was always in awe of Jarrod and continued to love him as a son.
Jarrod reciprocated this love with us in phone calls and two special visits with us in Tennessee. He was always so proud of Chaya and Avery and conveyed to us, they were his life’s success. We watched with wonder and trepidation Jarrod live his life and it would never diminish our love for him.
In closing, we have lost a family member, you all have lost either a father, son, fellow adventurer or loving friend. Jarrod was not sentimental but he loved well if not wisely. I do not know Jarrod’s view of God but I do know he viewed God’s creation with awe, wonder and a deep abiding love of nature. His passing has marked us but his life changed us.
In loving memory
Judy and Jerry Cooper
