Obituary of Kenneth Wayne Gordon
Kenneth Wayne Gordon, 66, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14th, 2022 in Rimrock, AZ. He was born March 7, 1955 to Ruth (Spencer) and Marion Gordon in Flagstaff, AZ. Ken was always able to find passion in his work, whether it was at Rollies Camera or as a gardener at Tlaquepaque.
He loved to do anything outside: fish, golf, walk his dogs, or just sit and enjoy the world around him. Although Ken was a lifelong resident of Arizona, he was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. Those that knew him best can probably remember him saying, “Go Cubbies!” whenever talking about his beloved team. He was always happy to hear from his family, especially his grandkids. They will miss him bragging about the sunny weather of Arizona and hearing him say, “Way cool!”
Ken is survived by his three children Christie (Les) Thomas of Lincoln, MI; Michael Gordon of Waialua, Hawaii; and Kenneth (Jennifer) Gordon of Humble, Texas; grandchildren Ellie, Ben, Katie, David, Christopher, and Aurora; brother Ralph (Nancy) Gordon of Silver City, New Mexico; great friends Trish and Josephine; and of course, his dog, Mickey. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Gordon, and grandson Caden Gordon.
No services have been planned at this time. Instead, his family asks that you do something to honor his life and memory. This may be taking your dog for an extra long walk, spending the afternoon fishing, eating some delicious Mexican food (preferably La Fonda’s), or telling someone a joke.
Special thank you to everyone at Northern Arizona Hospice, especially Ashley, for the care they provided for Ken. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northern Arizona Hospice or Verde Valley Humane Society.
