Obituary of Larry Wayne Ganis
Larry Ganis, 82, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. He was born in Orie County South Carolina on January 14, 1940 to William and Hazel Ganis. Larry started working at 14 years old as an apprentice Carpenter in Arizona. He then transferred to the Lathers union, after getting married to the love of his life Barbara Ganis in 1958. Larry worked as a lather in Arizona, South Carolina and California before retiring in 2008. Larry and Barbara then settled in Camp Verde, Arizona where they lived out the remainder of their lives. Larry loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. Larry also loved travelling the country on his Goldwing trike with his wife and friends. Larry was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather who always had time for his family.
Larry is survived by his oldest son, Steve, daughter-in-law’s Gail Ganis and Deon Murphy. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Stephanie, Justin, Kendra, Kaylea and Josh along with several Great Grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, and his sons Jeffrey and Kenneth.
