Kevin Patterson

Obituary of Kevin Michael Patterson

Kevin M. Patterson, better known as Lord of the Concrete World, Big Bird, Cookie, Chief and his newly appointed nickname the Pillow King. He left this earth on March 5th, 2022. He went on to be with his parents, brother Robert, and his best friend and cousin Kimble, and of course all his beloved dogs.

Kevin always had a beautiful blonde with him either one of his wives Andrea, Tina or longtime girlfriend Ashley, but his favorite blondes were always his Golden Retrievers. Kevin was born June 24th, 1955, in Niagara Falls, NY. He grew up in Baltimore, MD but spent his summers on the reservation in Niagara Falls. Kevin attended St. Clements Catholic School and Overly H.S. Kevin attended UMASS at Amherst where he played alongside Kimble and earned his nickname chief due to his Iroquois heritage and the "savage" way he played the game. After college Kevin went on to play club ball and coached lacrosse in schools and on the Tuscarora Reservation outside of Niagara Falls, NY. This is where he also helped his father John " Wes" Patterson start Tuskewe Krafts which became the number one selling company of traditional wooden lacrosse sticks.

In 1978 Kevin, his wife and son Travis moved to Las Vegas, NV to work in the construction field. He joined local 797 in 1984. He worked on projects like the Mirage, Treasure Island, Excalibur, the new MGM, New York New York, Bellagio and countless homes and pools throughout the valley including his own home. Kevin remarried in 1985 and had two more children, Felicia and Trevor. Kevin has many friends and family all over the country and was very loved and respected. He could tell a story and he could always make you laugh even if you were crying. He loved seafood but mostly crab. He loved it so much he would pay for it to be shipped in from Baltimore a few times a year. He was hard working. He worked so hard and did his job so well he would do a job that took 5 men all by himself and make it look easy. He was always fun and laid back. It took so much to get him upset you would probably never see it. He would talk to anyone and everyone. His voice was so loud and carried so far you could hear it a mile away. Standing at 6'9, 350 lbs he was a gentle giant who gave the best hugs in the world if you were lucky enough to get one. He would give you the shirt off his back and loved helping people. He loved dancing and singing to classic rock even though he couldn't dance. Mainly he loved Tina Turner and Fleetwood Mac. He loved the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. You could always catch him watching a game. When Kevin left this world, he left It a little bit lesser for losing him. He was everyone's best friend.

He was a decent dad but a fantastic grandpa to his 5 grandkids. He was a decent brother to two brothers and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Robert. He is survived by his siblings Patty and John, his kids Travis, Felicia, and Trevor and 5 grandkids. He is missed already more than words can express and loved with all our hearts. There will be no funeral because there is nothing to mourn, he is happily playing lacrosse and hanging with his dogs.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in Las Vegas June 24th, 2022, at the Draft house on North Rancho, just north of Craig Road.
