Obituary of Lawrence William Green
Lawrence William Green was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada to Harold and Pearl Green. Larry was the eldest of three children. His younger years were spent farming the land in Bow Island with his father and brothers, Don, and Dave.
Larry met his lovely wife Constance Leora Le Blanc in high school. They were married October 26th, 1968, and were later blessed with two children, Robbie William, and Tracy Lee.
When Larry wasn’t farming, he was learning to fly an airplane. He obtained his private pilot’s license in November 1975. Flying became one of his greatest passions throughout the years. He earned single, multi-engine, instrument, and numerous type ratings in various aircraft.
Connie and Larry spent their early years in Bow Island Alberta working the farm. Larry initially got into sales when he decided to sell heavy farming equipment. Later, with his brother Don, they took on the big project of opening a Chevrolet car dealership in the town of Bow lsland. This was the beginning of many years of entrepreneurial adventures for Larry.
In 1989 the family moved from Canada to Arizona where they were able to obtain their US citizenships. Soon after this move, Larry purchased a Chevrolet dealership in Cottonwood, Arizona and has kept this business for the last 30 + years. Together with his son Rob, they have expanded their business to include various franchises throughout Arizona, California, Montana, and Idaho. Larry’s roots of farming led him to be involved in supporting local 4-H programs in his communities of business. He was a member of aviation related clubs and served on the board of various organizations and universities. Larry’s success can be credited to his faithful and loving wife, his dedicated and hardworking employees, his strong work ethic and most of all, his faith.
Larry has left a legacy of hard work, generosity, and devotion to his friends and family. He had a brilliant business mind that was always looking to the next project. He will be remembered by those who knew him best for his spirit of adventure. His friendships were strengthened on the golf course, out on the water fishing, and at the airport. His favorite places to visit were Flathead Lake, Montana and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Larry is survived by his wife, Connie, his brothers Don (Susan), David (Donna), and his two children Rob (Sharon) and Tracy (Derek) and five grandsons Tristin and Nathan Green and Connor, Grady, and Kaden Drish.
He will be greatly missed, but those who know Jesus Christ will see Larry again in Heaven. (John 3:16, Romans 3:23-24) Family and friends will be honoring Larry with a “Celebration of Life” in Montana this summer.
