Obituary of Kathryn Louise Kenfield

Kathryn (Kate) Kenfield, 75, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, on April 27, 2022.  She was born in La Junta, Colorado on July 13, 1946, to the late Adolph and Juanita Fleming.  She moved to Big Springs, Nebraska, November 1965, with her husband, Gerald (Gary) Kenfield where she worked as a hairdresser and had her own salon in Big Springs for a time, as well as farming and ranching, and raised their children until 1985 when they and their daughter, Nocona Kenfield, and son, Bud Kenfield (and family) moved to Phoenix, Arizona.  Kate worked as a licensing technician for Arizona Department of Racing at Turf Paradise Horse Racing Track from 1986 until her retirement in 2008.  Kate and Gary had moved to Camp Verde, Arizona in 1999 where they have resided since. 

Kate is survived by her husband, Gary Kenfield and her children, April Bruegenhemke and son-in-law, Ed Bruegenhemke, Bud Kenfield and daughter-in-law, Kelly Kenfield, Kreig Kenfield, Nocona Kenfield; her grandchildren, Jessica Ford-Kenfield, Justin Rogers, Beth Lloyd-Bisley, Cory Kenfield, Kaitlyn Kenfield and Kailina Williamson, Kayne Kenfield, Kalyn Thompson, and many great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Fran (Jason) Latimer.  She is preceded in death by her parents: Adolph and Juanita Fleming.  No services were held.  The family is planning to have a Celebration of Life at a future date and place, to be announced.
