How do I put into words what Rhonni meant to me and the gifts she brought into my life? We met when we were both 14 years old and in the same Home Ec. class at Glendale High School. That was 56 years ago. Our friendship over the years only grew stronger no matter how much time or distance was between us. Rhonni was always my rock through the hardest times in my life, and she was always the one I wanted to share the best times with. In fact some of the best times were because of her. She taught me to drive, she taught me to skip school for the first time, she taught me the best way to shoot Tequila, and she taught me also what friendship, loyalty, and great memories are made of. We certainly had an abundance of those, and I will treasure each one until I have no memory left. Our little 56 year posse consisted of Rhonni, Ethel, Joyce, Jayne and myself. There will certainly be a void without Rhonni but we were blessed to have a lifetime of those memories with her front and center. I will always consider one of my greatest achievements to be introducing Rhonni and Danny to each other. My dear friend, save me a spot up there and we’ll do a shot together — but only one. I miss you.
