Obituary of Deborah Lynn Fleming
Deborah Lynn Fleming “Debbie”, 59, of Camp Verde entered into Heaven Sunday March 13, 2016. She was born and raised in Phoenix and made Camp Verde her home several years ago. Throughout her life, Debbie lived life to the fullest and to her own beat. She loved the Native American culture and immersed herself wholeheartedly in every way - including her “famous” fry-bread. She had a unique sense of humor and a heart of gold - always remembering birthdays and special dates. Those who knew her, loved her and will greatly miss the random things that she would say. In life, she was hit with things, but she hit them back three times harder. She battled a hard fight against cancer and although she lost that fight, her spirit never backed down and still remains. Survivors include her daughters Mirya Rigsby and Miranda Smith; Sons-in-law William George and Joshua Smith; Grand-daughter Serenity; Grand-sons Odysseus, Landon and Ethan; Parents Pete and Martha Mckenzie; Sisters Cathy Nelson, Terrie Davis, Lisa Davis and Sonja Mckenzie and Brothers Jimmy and Daran “Blue” Davis. Debbie came from a very large close-knit family that includes nieces, nephews, aunts and close friends Dale Puricelli and Joseph St. Arnauld. She is preceded in death by her natural father Lonnie Fleming. A “Celebration Of Life” will be held at the Camp Verde town hall in the Ramada area on Thursday, March 17 @12:30.
