Jim Tyler is an American hero and a fine example of what it means to be an American. Jim loved his family and was always fun to be around. My condolences to the family. Jim will be missed.

Ohhhhh, I'm so sorry to read about your Dad. I have so many fond memories of him and of our childhood. I'm also sorry that I won't be able to attend the service as I'm leaving for Israel on Monday morning and won't be back until the 30th. My closest friend, Jane, will take Mom. I love you all so much and really, really miss being with you now and then. All of our love and prayers are with you. Cheryl

My condolences to the Tyler family. Seeing the obituary this morning brought back a lot of memories. I too am a Tombstone native. Jim's Dad, Sheriff Tyler used to raise bees and would invite me over to extract honey and present me with large pieces of honey comb that would last for hours. Annette and her sisters Kathy and Marie and their mother were my neighbors in Tombstone. I can see Jim's car arriving in a cloud of dust on fourth street when he came to see Annette. Jim's name was one of the ones on the large billboard erected by the American Legion Post 24 that listed all the people serving in WWII. Was wonderful when those names came down as they arrived back home. Rest in peace Jim. Art Smith
