Obituary of James Robert Tyler

James R. Tyler, 90, of Camp Verde, AZ passed away on October 11, 2013. Jim was born in Tombstone, AZ on August 18, 1923 to William and Dona Tyler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Tyler. He is survived by daughters Laurel (Ed) Rountree and Coralee (Bill) Flick, grandchildren Dan Lindstrom, Kari Rountree, Penny Langhammer and Amy Igasan, and four great-grandchildren. Jim served in the Army in WWII and was a prisoner of war. He retired from the U.S. Post Office. He loved camping and hiking, completing the Arizona Trail. A memorial service is planned October 26 at 10:00 at Coolwater Christian Church, 28181 N. 56 Street, Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
