Obituary of Barbara Ann Bock Hagan

Barbara Ann Bock Hagan had 89 wonderfully full years, a life many would envy. There were three phases to her life. Her first phase began as the loving daughter of William J & Ethel M Weir Bock along with her 8 brothers and sisters, Betty J Bock (D), William J Bock, Bradley W Bock (D), Warren L Bock (D), Marilyn M Schmitt, B Robert Bock, Judith A Farrington and Gary A Bock. The tales of their family life on the farm in Silvercreek, NY will be shared by subsequent generations to come. Her second phase began when she married our incredibly kind hearted and generous father, Albert E Hagan Jr. and had 53 memory filled years together. Their children Timothy A Hagan, Douglas P Hagan (D), Colleen A Chapin and Susan B Welker would like to express their deep gratitude to have been graced with these two honorable and wise parents. Mom was also fortunate to have two loving and devoted daughter and son-in-laws, Ellen D Hagan and Bradley K Welker, two brilliant grandsons, Douglas P Chapin and Brent B Chapin and two great grandchildren, Trevor and Ryan Chapin. Her third phase began when our father passed away in 1999 and she began dating and then traveling the world with her dear friend Alfred Gabler. And what a time they had! Mom was sharp as a tack right up to her last breath and kept her mind bright through her interest in historical people and events. Along with our father she researched our family ancestry and eventually became a member of the Oak Creek Sedona chapter of the DAR. We only hope we gave to her as much as she gave to us. Her presence in our lives was so very rewarding and fulfilling and she will be in our hearts always. May she rest in peace.
