Good morning Leslie and Cindy. Unfortunately I cannot join you to honor Jim and support you today. I do have a few memories I would like to share. I remember him taking me in his arms and carrying me to the hospital. I remember him patiently teaching me to fly his coxx planes knowing I would promptly crash them. Playing racquetball - he never broke a sweat and had me running all over the court. He made me laugh and I enjoyed when he was at the family dinners - always lively. His newsletters with a little spending cash. His deep laugh. I appreciated that he treated me with respect and took the time to talk to me. I felt a bond with him, have missed him at the family gatherings, and will truly miss him

I’ve only been an official “Idiot” for a little under a year now, but I wish it had been longer. Jim was a good and decent man and always made me, and I’m sure all the other newcomers that have showed up over the years, feel welcome and included. He is missed. Blessings for all who loved him and all he loved.

Jim was a loyal member of the 'Idiots' lunch bunch. His favorite talking points were his grand-kids. Some of us 'Idiots' even asked that he adopt us as his grand-kids. Also, his service to our country in Vietnam was exemplary.
My condolences to his entire family.
