Obituary of James G. Cox Jr.

Jim Cox, 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 16^th in Prescott, Arizona. He grew up in Phoenix and was a member of the first graduating class of Cortez High. Jim was a proud Wildcat, attending the University of Arizona, where he was the first in his family to earn a degree. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

Jim served in Vietnam as an officer in the Army Corp of Engineers. Afterwards, he spent his career as a Plant Manager in the corporate world. Jim retired in 1996 and moved to Prescott.  He will be remembered as a huge proponent of education, a loving father and husband, a good friend, and a wonderful Granddad who adored his four grandchildren: Timothy, David, Alison, and Kyle. He is survived by his daughters, Leslie (Dean) Holbrook and Cindy (Carl) Corbin, their mother Gwen, his wife Meg, and her children Kristina (George) Nelson and Lars (Ashley) Nelson.
