Dad always said the cup is half full (not half empty)! Dad was a man that had a deep love for The Lord.
Growling up dad taught each of us kids to be honest & truthful. He taught us by his example to not be afraid of hard work. He taught us by his example to take time to smell the flowers along the way. He worked 2-3 jobs at a time but every summer he spent one week taking the family camping and introduced us to the family campfires and beaches. He showed us the Five Great Lakes! His sense of humor showing me how to float in the lakes and let the minnows nibble on his toes! He spent hours on the country roads and once did some dodging of a group of caterpillars in the roads! Dad helped us collect buckets of toads & frogs from Uncle Carl’s house in Michigan to our home in Oregon, Ohio. The neighbors all wondered where all the toads & frogs came from as they made their way to church that next morning! Dad made me always feel safe and loved, and always protected me from harm. He built the house I was born and raised in with his own hands with years of labor and love. He enjoyed his fishing, pool table, boat, and being active in church. Dad was a giver and always stretched out his hand to help someone in need. He always encouraged The Lord to others and spread Gods love & word!
Dad always told me he was gonna live forever, and he is! Heaven is sweeter once more receiving Dad into the fold.
