Obituary of Tim McGarry

Timothy I. McGarry 1932-2020 Husband, Dad, Mentor. Tim was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 11, 1932. At age 5 his family moved to Toledo, Ohio. Tim was self-employed in the construction business. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in August of 1981. Tim and his wife moved to Cottonwood, Arizona in November 2014. Tim and Sandy were married for 27 years. Tim has 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He enjoyed doing home repairs and maintenance on his car and truck. He loved doing jigsaw puzzles. He was very generous and caring. He loved fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gertrude McGarry; his brother, Gene; his son, Steve; and his sister, Rosemary. Tim is survived by the love of his life, Sandy; his 4 children, son, Michael McGarry of Tucson, Arizona, daughters, Cathy McGarry-King of Phoenix, Arizona, Linda Sue Gopp of Toledo, Ohio, Diane Caywood of Toledo, Ohio; his sister, Katie Mommerency of Temperance, Michigan; and 2 step-children, Brenda (Marco) and Jason. God called him home on December 8, 2020. He passed away peacefully from this world, with his wife, Sandy, by his side. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Services will be held at C3 Church 1580 E Fir Street in Cottonwood Arizona on December 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm- 3:00 pm Visitation will be held before the service from 1:00pm-2:00pm Final resting place will be at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, Arizona.
