Obituary of Lorena May Walker
Cottonwood – Lorena Walker, 85, passed unexpectedly Dec 16, 2021. She was born Dec 31, 1935 in Alliance, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Delcena Reid.
Lorena graduated from Alliance High School, Class of 1953. She received her LPN from Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing Sept 1956. Marriage followed to Jay R Walker in Phoenix, AZ, and they had two children. She completed her BSN from ASU in 1971. After divorce and working as an RN in Montana she retired and moved to Cottonwood, AZ and enjoyed her many wonderful friends for 22 years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Libsack. Surviving are sisters, Norma Thomsen and Louise Knapp, and brother, Marvin Reid, her daughter, Jaynie Mauger and her son, John Walker, five grandchildren, David Mauger, Steven Mauger, Michelle Talley, Sean Walker, Michael Walker and six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
